Besides the fact that they are neither wanted nor needed, guest workers apparently don't know when to go back
home. Forty to fifty percent of illegal aliens here in the United States are ex-guest workers on expired visas.
Our federal government is fully aware of guest workers overstaying their visas and is blatantly ignoring the problem.
Farmers, industrial sweatshops, various corporations, and many of our elected officials, say we need the Guest Worker
Program in order to fill the jobs that Americans won't do. The only jobs that Americans won't take are those that
don't offer viable wages without greatly lowering one's living standards.
Employers claim that they need guest workers because they cannot find enough people to work for them. It's not
that there aren't enough people available. What it boils down to is that employers cannot find enough people
who are willing to work for the cheap wages that they prefer to pay.
Without the Guest Worker Program there will be a "shortage of workers" only until wages are adjusted to balance
the employers' demand with the supply of workers. In a nutshell, Guest Worker Program is totally unnecessary and
serves no purpose other than to lower wages that employers pay and erase our borders.
"If you can't use legal workers and pay American wages and provide
American working conditions, then you shouldn't be in America.
America shouldn't have peasant jobs."
